River Forest, Ill. – The summer of 2026 has come to a conclusion, and school is officially back in session, and that means Dominican Athletics is about to hit the ground running in the 2026-2027 school year.

Men's Soccer is off a season where they finished 7-8-4 overall, including a 7-3-2 conference record. DUMSOC finished 5th in the conference and had their season come to an end at #4, MSOE. The Stars have vengeance on their mind this upcoming season and the season starts on September 1st at West Campus Field, as DUMSOC hosts Blackburn College at 4:00 p.m.

Women's Soccer had another fantastic season on the pitch in 2025, earning a record of 12-6-1 and a 9-3 record in the NACC. The Stars were always on their game at West Campus Field, going 6-2-1 on their home turf. DUWSOC's season came to an end in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference semifinal matchup on the road at #1 Illinois Tech. The Stars will open their 2026 campaign in the Wheaton College Tournament on September 4th and 5th. The first matchup is a neutral-site matchup against Greenville University at Wheaton College at 4:30 p.m. on September 4th. The next day DUWSOC will play the host school Wheaton College at 7:00 p.m.

Women's Volleyball is coming off a difficult season, going 2-21 and 1-12 inside conference play, while ending the season on a 10-game losing streak, but the past is the past, and the Stars are ready to turn some heads in 2026. DUWVB season starts on September 4th on the road facing the Red Devils of Eureka College at 6:00 p.m.

Men's and Women's Cross Country will start the 2026 campaign at the Flyer Early Bird Invitational, hosted by Lewis University at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, IL.

The Stars of the week will return in the next edition of Stars Weekly. This consists of male and female student athletes who shined in their respective sports for that previous week.

All four of these people are Dominican alumni and have shown tireless dedication behind the scenes to ensure a positive experience for student-athletes, fans, and alumni.
