Fond Du Lac, WI. – The Dominican University Men's Soccer team hit the road for a conference matchup against Marian.

How it Happened:
-Dominican got started on the right foot with a shot on target from Sophomore
Christopher Hastings in the 2
nd minute and then a goal from Graduate Student
Cole Wood in the 3
rd minute of the game. Senior Tristan Banquil got the assist on the goal.
-Sophomore
Jonathan Almaguer fired a shot on target in the 5
th minute of the game; the shot was saved by Marian's goalkeeper.
-Sophomore
Eduardo Lopez and Sophomore
Rogelio Cisneros both had shots out to the sides of the net.
-In the 42
nd minute, Almaguer had his second shot on target but was stopped by the Sabres goalkeeper.
-Dominican extended their lead to 2-0 thanks to a goal from Banquil, his second of the season.
The Stars were all over the ball in the first half, outshooting the Sabres 9-0.
-The Stars continued their momentum into the second half with Banquil having 3 shots in 3 minutes. Shortly after, Junior
Travis Fowler fired a shot out right.
-The Sabres had their first shot of the game in the 62
nd minute, Freshman
Alexander Garcia got the save.
-Junior
Nolan Oates started a series of shots with his shot fired out right. Freshman
Cristian Garcia got his first shot on target in the 68
th minute, followed by a shot from Sophomore
Enzo Cinque. Cinque got another chance from a corner kick and shot it on target, but it was saved. C. Garcia found the ball again and fired a shot on target, which was saved.
-In the 85
th minute, Lopez found the back of the net for his second goal of the season. C. Garcia received the assist on the goal.
-The Stars outshot Marian 12-5 in the second half while holding the Sabres to only one shot on target.
Shining Stars:
-Senior Tristan Banquil earned Star of the Match, Banquil had 1 goal on 7 shots. 2 of those shots were on target. Banquil played all 90 minutes of the game and had an assist.
-Graduate
Cole Wood earned his first goal of the season, with having 2 shots, 1 on target. Wood played all 90 minutes.
-Sophomore
Eduardo Lopez had the third goal of the game, Lopez had 2 shots, with 1 being on target
-Junior
Jonathan Almaguer had 2 shots with 2 on target.
