River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Women's Soccer team hosted the #18 ranked North Central Cardinals for a non-conference match honoring those fighting Pancreatic Cancer.

How it Happened:
- Dominican got on the board quickly in the 15
th minute from a goal by Freshman
Payton Lemich with Junior
Presley Coles getting the assist.
- Junior
Tia Garr and Freshman
Kaylie Reeve each had 1 shot on target and a shot each in the first half.
-Junior
Gianna Stanek collected 2 saves, keeping the score 1-0 going into the second half.
-Dominican and North Central each had 6 shots.
-Freshman
Sarah Appleby started the second half with 2 saves and gave the ball back to DU, NCC got the ball back and found the back of the net to make it 1-1.
-The Stars got the ball right back and gave Reeve another opportunity. Reeve connected on target, but her shot was saved by the Cardinals goalkeeper. Minutes later NCC's coach got a yellow card which gave the ball right back to DU and found Senior
Rachelle Pinto where she had a shot that flied out top.
-In the 86
th minute Pinto commits the foul right in front of the penalty arc where the Cardinals took advantage and scored a goal to make the score 2-1.
-DU was held to only 2 shots in the second half, NCC had 13.
