Jason Muller's corner kick goal in the 90
th minute floated just inside the back post and under the cross bar, finding the back of the net with just 19 seconds remaining to propel the Dutchmen into the Sweet Sixteen. Nicholas Heyboer earned the corner kick as he beat a pair of Dominican defenders up the left flank before turning the corner at the endline. After the Stars cleared the ball over the endline, Muller raced to get the ball with under 30 seconds remaining to set up the late game heroics.

The Flying Dutchmen struck first in the match, taking a 1-0 lead on Matthew VanZytveld's header goal off a long throw from Grant Niel in the 19
th minute.

The score remained in Hope's favor until
Edwin Rodriguez (Chicago, Ill.) netted an equalizer for the Stars in the 50
th minute, getting on the end of an
Edwin Lagunas (Waukegan, Ill.) cross and leaping over a pair of Flying Dutchmen defenders to knot the score at one goal apiece.

The Midwest Region foes traded chances the rest of the way until Muller's goal halted a game that seemed destined for overtime.

Hope held an 11-9 advantage in shots and had a slight advantage in corner kick opportunities (6-5) with the final corner proving to be the difference.

It is the second time in as many years and the fourth time in five seasons that the Stars have closed out the season in the second round of the national tournament. Dominican finishes the year with a 19-3-0 overall record while the Dutchmen improve to 17-4-3 and will face the winner of the Luther regional quad which opens play tonight with St. Olaf against Carroll and Luther against North Park.
