Box Score 2 The Dominican University baseball team climbed back to .500 on the season and into a tie for sixth place in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) with a doubleheader sweep of the Maranatha Baptist Bible College Crusaders on Friday evening, taking game one 11-1 in seven innings before coasting to a 14-3 seven inning victory in game two.
The Stars plated 25 runs on 25 hits and stole 31 bases in the pair of wins, running their conference-best stolen base total to 120.
Sean Bolton  (Western Springs, Ill.) improved to 6-4 as he picked up the win on the mound in game one, throwing four innings and surrendering on run on four hits.  
Kevin Schwer (Evergreen Park, Ill.) then picked up his first career victory, scattering six hits and five walks over 5.2 innings while being charged with three runs.
Dominican will return to the diamond on Saturday, hosting the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in a conference doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.
