Box Score The Dominican University baseball team lost their final non-conference game of the season, falling to the Elmhurst College Bluejays, 14-4.

The Stars started the scoring in the third. Joe Krasny (Berwyn, Ill.) reached base on a Bluejays' error, scoring Alex Hernandez (Des Plaines, Ill.) from third. Right after, Lucas McKinney (Arvada, Colo.) ripped a double to bring in two Stars to make it 3-0 in favor of the Stars.

The Bluejays retaliated with one run in the bottom of the fourth.

The Stars got that run back in the top of the sixth on a sac fly by Hernandez.

The Bluejays answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to cut the Stars' lead to 4-3.

Elmhurst then broke the game open with a ten-run bottom of the seventh. The Bluejays then ended the game with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth.

Cody Mueller (Addison, Ill.) took the loss for the Stars, going 6.1 innings and giving up eight runs, six earned, on five hits and five walks while striking out seven.

The Stars will return to action Saturday on their home diamond at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium for their final series of the season. First pitch is set for 3:00 PM. The Stars will take on the Spartans of Aurora University in a doubleheader. The Stars will be providing live statistics and video for this final Northern Athletics Conference matchup.
