The Dominican University men's tennis dropped a pair of 8-1 decisions to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) opponents on Saturday to fall to 2-9 on the season and 2-5 in the NACC.
The Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors got the best of the Stars in the morning match, with
Kevin Amarantos (Arlington Heights, Ill.) notching the lone point for Dominican, topping the Warriors' Lee Johnson 6-4, 6-0 at number one singles.
Amarantos followed that performance with another number one singles win in the Stars' afternoon loss to the MSOE Raiders. In that matchup, Amarantos knocked off the Raiders' Eric Klamrowski 6-2, 6-3.
With the wins, Amarantos moves to 5-1 in the conference action.
