Box Score The Dominican University men's volleyball team dropped the MSOE Raiders in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-18) on Tuesday night to open the final week of the regular season for the first-year Stars.  The victory took just one hour to complete and positions the Stars for an exciting final weekend in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) with the Stars needing a pair of wins over the College of Mount St. Joseph Lions and Fontbonne University Griffins coupled with a Carthage win over Mount St. Joseph to help Dominican qualify for the CVC Tournament.

Zachery Sinn (Winfield, Ill.) paced the Stars' attack on Tuesday evening, collecting nine kills on 14 attack attempts while committing just two errors for a .500 hitting percentage in two sets.  The Stars' standout is averaging 3.13 kills per set with a team-best 244 kills on the season.  Aidan Spangler (Western Springs, Ill.) was nearly perfect, knocking down six kills on seven attempts and adding a block assist and an ace for a total of 7.5 points in the winning effort.  Alex Coyne (Naperville, Ill.) ran the Stars' offense, dishing out 23 assists.

As a team, Dominican outhit the host Raiders, posting a .324 attack percentage while holding the Raiders to .049 with 27 kills to 23 errors.

The Stars hit the road again on Friday, traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio, to take on the MSJ Lions.  Currently Dominican sits in fourth place in the CVC West Division standings, one game behind the Lions for the third and final spot from the West Division for CVC Tournament.  The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start at the Lions' Harrington Center.
