The Dominican University men's tennis team split a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) dual matches on Saturday afternoon in Forest Park, Illinois, sweeping the Marian University Sabres, 9-0, before falling to the Edgewood College Eagles, 8-1.

With the split, Dominican moves to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the NACC. The Stars will be back in action on Sunday, traveling to Elmhurst to take on the Elmhurst College Bluejays in a non-conference dual match at 11:00 a.m.

Against Marian, the Stars lineup, headed by
Krystian Drozdz (Franklin Park, Ill.) at number one singles, won every flight. Drozdz topped the Sabres' Jose Valencia, 6-0, 6-3 while
Quinn Porter (Michigan City, Ind.) won the number two singles flight, 6-1, 7-5. In doubles play, Dominican's
Logan Marvin (Johnston, Iowa) and
Tarik Abdullah (Hickory Hills, Ill.) blanked the Sabres' Payton Trammel and Jacob Ryd, 8-0, while
John Mysz (LaGrange, Ill.) and
Frank Lally (Park Ridge, Ill.) rolled Marian's Sam Maetzold and Zachary Stanczyk, 8-0.

Against the conference-leading Eagles, Lally managed the Stars' lone tally, earning a point at number six singles with a 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 win over Edgewood's Brandon Glock.
