Box Score The Dominican University men's volleyball team saw their program-best seven match winning streak come to an end on Tuesday evening, falling to the 14
th-ranked MSOE Raiders in four sets (25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21) to fall to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL).

The Stars managed to hit .240 in the loss, knocking down 44 kills on 104 swings, but allowed the visiting Raiders to hit at a .314 clip as Dominican collected just 20 digs in the four-set loss.

"We were not disciplined enough nor did we do the basics well enough to beat a very good MSOE team," said
Dan Ames, the Stars' head coach following his first match back on the bench for Dominican after missing the last three. "We have to regroup and focus on taking care of things better on our side of the net moving forward."

Alex Coyne (Naperville, Ill.) doled out 43 assists in the losing effort with
Luke Spicer (St. Charles, Ill.) and
Jeremy Royko (Naperville, Ill.) knocking down 13 and ten kills respectively.Â
Mason Solbrig (Lindenhurst, Ill.) added eight kills and eight total blocks to go along with one ace for a total of 13.5 points for the Stars.

For the Raiders, Scott Boyk led the upset bid, collecting a match-high 17 kills and 14 digs for his second consecutive double-double. Setter Quin Krisik added 52 assists, five kills and four blocks in the all-around effort.

The road does not get any easier for Dominican who opened a stretch of four consecutive matches against AVCA Top 15 opponents on Tuesday. On Thursday the third-ranked Carthage College Red Men come to River Forest as the Stars look to get back on track in MCVL play.
