The Dominican University men's tennis team split a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) duals on Saturday, picking up their first win of the season along the way. In the opening match of the day, Dominican blanked the Lakeland College Muskies, 9-0, before falling to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons, 8-1.

The Stars' number two doubles team of
Tarik Abdullah (Hickory Hills, Ill.) and
Hector Ramirez (Lyons, Ill.) went undefeated on the day, scoring a 9-7 win over the Falcons' Christian Docter and Ceejay Schaffner in the nightcap after rolling over Lakeland's ShoSean Fujino and Dylan Skewis 8-1.

Dominican's
John Mysz (La Grange, Ill.) narrowly missed scoring a second point for Dominican against Concordia Wisconsin, falling to Docter at the number two singles flight, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. Early in the day, Mysz convincingly topped Lakeland's Fujino in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

The Stars, now 1-6 on the season and 1-1 in the NACC, return to action next Saturday, crossing back over the Illinois-Wisconsin border to take on Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, before continuing to Madison, Wisconsin, to meet the Edgewood College Eagles.
