Kougan and McGuire Earn All-American Accolades

Lexington, KY – Dominican University men's volleyball players George Kougan and Jack McGuire were recognized for their outstanding individual seasons for the #3 Stars as they were each named NVA/AVCA All-Americans on Monday.

Kougan is a First Team All-American selection as he ranks Top-35 in all of Division III in several statistical categories. The Frankfort, Illinois native currently sits 25th in the country in aces per set (.557) while ranking 27th in blocks per set (.885). The opposite hitter's 3.35 kills per set are good for 29th in the Division III to go along with a .328 hitting percentage that places him at 34th in the nation.

McGuire is a Second-Team All-American selection as he ranks 17th in Division III in assists per set at 9.06. The Naperville, Illinois native orchestrates an offensive attack that sits second in the country in hitting percentage (.341) and 23rd in kills per set (11.76).

The #3 Stars continue final preparations as they get ready for their NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship quarterfinal match on Thursday, April 22nd at 1:30 p.m. CDT.
