Box Score Aurora, IL - The Dominican University softball team concluded its season on Friday afternoon after falling to Benedictine 7-4 in the first round of the NACC South Division Championship Tournament.

After scoreless first two innings, the Stars got on the board first as a single to left field off the bat of Zoe Deeringer brought home the Stars an early 1-0 lead in the thrid inning. Theresa Wilsterman would get in on the action as well knocking an two RBI triple to left field to extend the lead 3-0. Fresh off her being named to the All-NACC First Team, Cecila Winters-McCarthy singled to left field to bring home Wilsterman to make it a 4-0 Stars' lead. 

 The lead would be short lived as the Eagles would put up a four run fourth inning to knot it up at 4-4. The Stars' bats would go silent for the remainder of the game as the Eagles would tack on three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead, and evidently, the game. 

The Stars finish the season with an 11-20 overall record, they will return to the field next spring.
