No. 3 Men's Volleyball Takes Down Baldwin Wallace, Stevenson on Saturday

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's men's volleyball program swept Baldwin Wallace and downed Stevenson in five sets to secure two crucial non-conference victories on Saturday. 
 
The third-ranked Stars made quick work of Baldwin Wallace to open the day in Pennsylvania, sweeping the Yellowjackets by scores of 25-20, 25-12 and 25-23. Aaron Marrs led the way offensively with eight kills, hitting at a blistering .615 clip. Mat Molloy posted a perfect 6-for-6 line in the middle, adding two block assists. Jack McGuire dished out 26 assists and picked up three kills. 
 
DU's final match of the weekend featured the Stars taking on Stevenson, who came in receiving votes in the top-15 poll. Dominican cruised to a first set win, but Stevenson took the next two frames to gain a decisive 2-1 advantage. The Stars quickly picked up momentum in the fourth with a convincing 25-10 win, sending the match to a deciding fifth frame. With DU seemingly out of gas trailing 9-3 in set five, Dominican scored 14 of the final 20 points to secure a dramatic, come-from-behind win. 
 
Trey Cowan hammered home a team-high 18 kills with George Kougan adding 13 in support. McGuire continued to be a force in all aspects of the match with a stat line of nine kills, 39 assists, three aces, seven digs, three blocks and an .818 attack percentage. Marrs was solid again on the outside with six kills, hitting.417. Mat Molloy had a crucial late serving run to help DU in the fifth, finishing with four service aces in the match.
