Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's third-ranked men's volleyball team downed Marian University 3-1 on the road in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action.
DU dropped the opening set on Friday evening to the Sabres 25-19, but stormed back with 25-21, 25-16 and 25-17 set victories, respectively, to claim the 3-1 win. The Stars hit .290 as a team compared to MU's .146 and had 11 blocks compared to the Sabres' five.
Trey Cowan led the attack with 13 kills on 29 attempts, attacking at a .276 clip.
Daniel Sharrah racked up 12 kills on 20 attempts, hitting a blistering .400 for the match.
Mat Molloy picked up nine kills while fellow middle hitter
Jacob Bush totaled seven. The two also combined for nine blocks.
Jack McGuire dished out 44 assists and added three kills and three block assists.
