Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Davenport, Fla. - The Dominican University baseball team was back in action for a double header against the University of Minnesota Morris. 

Game 1 Results:

How it Happened:
-Dominican took the lead first by Freshman Zach Helein hitting a two out RBI single.  
-Senior Garrett Wano added to the Stars lead with an RBI double in the top of the third. . 
-Fifth Year starting pitcher Hayden Young collects six strikeouts through three scoreless innings. 
-Minnesota Morris got on the board with a solo home-run. 
-Junior Matt Galdi brought the Dominican lead back to two runs with an RBI single. DU continued to add to that two run lead with an RBI single from Junior Matthew Partridge. Senior Jake Polonus strung along another RBI single bringing in Wano. Senior Zach Rigdon clears the bases with a  two out RBI triple. Helein continued the hit parade with an RBI double of his own. Junior Grayson Downing brought in another run with an RBI single. Galdi came up to the plate for the second time in the inning and hits an RBI ground rule double. Resulting in an 8 run inning for Dominican.  
-The Stars add one more to the lead with Sophomore Gavin Zappe hitting an RBI double. 
-DU regains the lead and does not give it back with a single from Junior Matthew Galdi that brought in two runs. In the sixth the Stars added four more runs. 

Shining Stars:
-Fifth Year Hayden Young goes six innings with 10 strikeouts. 
-Freshman Zach Helein led the Stars offensively with 4 hits and 2 RBI's. 
-Junior Grayson Downing collected 4 hits and scored 3 runs. 
-Senior Zach Rigdon had 2 RBI's 
-Junior Matt Galdi went 2-4 with 2 RBI's.

How it Happened:
-Stars took an early with Junior Matt Galdi drove in the first run of the game with a two out RBI single. Senior Garrett Wano followed up with RBI single of his own. Sophomore Ryan Schmidt made it three straight RBI singles. Senior Austin Doty drew a walk to make the score 4-0. DU continued to add with a walk from Sophomore Braiden Galvin. 
-Dominican put up two more runs in the bottom of the fourth of an error by the Cougars. 
The Cougars chipped away into the Dominican lead by scoring two runs on two hits.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Ethan Shepherd went six innings with 9 strikeouts. 
-Sophomore Ryan Schmidt led the Stars with 2 hits and an RBI.
