Kenosha, Wis. – The Dominican University Track & Field team participated in the Firebird First Invitational with some new faces on the squad.

Shining Stars:
-Dominican participated in the 4x400 Meter Relay, where they finished second in the event. The team consisted of Freshman
Mary Bitter, Freshman
Melanie Galarza, Sophomore
Charlize Gonzalez, Sophomore
Fatima Duran, Freshman
Camila Salcedo, and Freshman
Isabella Olmos. They ran a 5:09.13 in the race.
-Freshman
Jamie Favela ran a 4:53.11 in the 1-mile run.
-Sophomore
Diego Valdivia ran a 4:57.60 in the 1-mile run.
-Sophomore
Charlize Gonzalez participated in the 400-meter dash and ran a 1:22.18.
Senior
Emma Woodhouse ran in the 55 Meter Dash and finished with a run of 8.16.
What's Next:
Dominican Track and Field will take the new and improved squad into the Aurora Grand Prix next weekend. The event will take place on January 25
th in Aurora.
