Women's Soccer Returns to West Campus Field for Senior Day on Saturday

River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Women's Soccer team returns to West Campus Field for their final home game and Senior Day this Saturday in a WHITE OUT.

Series History vs. Illinois Tech:
All-Time Record / Streak: 18-4 / W18
-Dominican and Lakeland first played in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, on 9/11/2004 (L, 3-0).
-The Stars lost the first four matchups against the Muskies and only scored one goal in those 4 matches.
-DU has won 18 straight against Lakeland and has scored 93 total goals during this win streak. The Stars have only let up 2 goals in the last 18 games.
-Dominican has not let up a goal to Lakeland since 2010.
-The Stars are 10-1 at West Campus Field against the Muskies.
-DU is 16-0 in NACC play against Lakeland.

DU in Review:

Last Time Out:
-DU lost their second straight game on the road at Illinois Tech 5-1.
-Senior Mia Dosen tallied DU's lone goal of the day from the penalty spot and led the Stars with 3 shots, 2 of which found the target.
-Sophomore Tia Garr notched a shot and logged all 90 minutes.
-Sophomore Gianna Stanek made 10 saves in the defeat, a new season high.

Familiar Faces:
-Dominican returns senior Kamryn Klinger, who has been the heart and soul for the Stars as a defensive midfielder. In 2024, Klinger was honored with second team all-conference in the NACC by having 18 appearances and 15 starts for Dominican, while playing 1292 minutes. Klinger was one of the three players from Dominican that represented Team USA in the DIII Soccer Tour.
-Senior Natalia Lopez returns for her senior campaign as a midfielder for the Stars. Last season Lopez had 6 goals, 4 assists, and 25 shots on goal in her 20 appearances through the 2024 season. Lopez was honored with a first-team all-conference in the NACC. In Lopez's three-year career at Dominican, she has scored 18 goals, collected 10 assists, with 4 game-winning goals in her 59 appearances in a Stars uniform.
-Senior Sarah Matuszek will be back in a Stars uniform this upcoming season, where she has been a huge part of the Dominican style of play on the outside. Matuszek is coming off a season where she scored 3 goals, and added 6 assists while appearing in all 20 matches in the 2024 season. Matuszek earned first-team all-conference in the NACC last season.
-Senior Mia Taullahu is back for Dominican this upcoming year and is looking to continue creating havoc on the outside as a forward. Taullahu collected a goal and 6 assists in her 17 appearances in the 2024 season.
-Senior Mia Dosen will be back for the Stars in her second season at Dominican. She will be wearing a new number this season, changing from #34 to #10. Last season, Dosen collected 7 goals and 2 assists with 17 shots on goal in her 20 appearances.
-Sophomore Ariana Barney is looking to take another big step in her second season at Dominican. Barney finished her freshman campaign by having 6 goals and 4 assists in 20 appearances. With this, Barney is tied for the most goal contributions from the 2024 season with 10.

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Logan Shanks had a strong campaign for the Stars, scoring 4 goals while having 21 shots, 14 of them being on target.
-Senior Sierra Rioux has been on fire for this Stars offense, scoring 3 goals so far this year. Rioux has also collected 30 shots, with 11 of those on target, and has collected 5 assists this season.
-Senior Natalia Lopez has started all 13 games for the Stars and has scored 2 goals on 29 total shots. Lopez has 11 shots on goal. Lopez has also tallied 2 assists on the season. Lopez leads the team in minutes played with 1106.
-Senior Sarah Matuszek has continued to put in a strong shift for the Stars, and the Senior fullback has collected 2 goals, 16 shots, and 10 shots on target. Matuszek has logged 1013 minutes so far this season.
-Senior Kamryn Klinger collected her first collegiate goals during the 2025 season. Klinger has tallied 11 total shots this season, with 5 of them on frame.
-Senior Mia Dosen has come on strong for Dominican the last couple games and is now joint-second on the squad in goals with 4.
-Sophomore Gianna Stanek has played in 9 games this season and has made 47 saves.

Scouting Report:
-Lakeland is 1-11-1 and 1-8 in NACC play. Lakeland will be playing October 16th at home against Grace Christian (Mich.) University.
-The Muskies are 0-5-1 on the road.
-Lakeland got their first win on October 11th, against Rockford (5-0) on senior night.
-The Muskies have scored 8 goals this season, while giving up 57 goals. They average .62 goals per match, while giving up 4.38 goals per match.
