River Forest, Ill. – Men's and Women's Soccer clinch NACC Tournament berths while Women's Volleyball looks to finish the season strong.

Men's Soccer was off the heels of a big 2-1 win against Lakeland heading into this week, as the Stars were looking to solidify their position in the NACC Tournament. On Wednesday, Freshman Rogelio Cisneros' goal in the 52nd minute proved to be the difference maker as DU took down Benedictine, 1-0. The Stars had 7 shots on target to the Eagles' 1. Following the game against Benedictine, Dominican traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday and scrapped to a 0-0 draw with the Warriors. Cisneros and Junior Ciaran Geraghty were credited with a shot on target against WLC. The point earned in the draw was enough for the Stars to clinch a spot in the NACC Tournament, with seeding still up for grabs. DU will have its final game of the regular season at home against Concordia Chicago on Wednesday, October 29th at 2:30 p.m. before beginning NACC Tournament play on the road on Saturday, November 1st, with the opponent and time still to be determined after Wednesday's results.

Women's Soccer entered the week after a dominant 3-1 win over Lakeland on Senior Day and was looking to clinch home-field advantage in the NACC Tournament Quarters. On Wednesday, the Stars handled Benedictine on the road with a final score of 5-1. Senior Mia Dosen recorded her first career hat trick, with goals in the 17th, 33rd, and 45th minutes. Junior Mackenzie Cuddihy and Senior Sarah Matuszek provided the 4th and 5th goals for DU. Dominican then continued the road swing at Wisconsin Lutheran, putting on another dominant performance in a 4-1 win over the Warriors. This time, Junior Meghan Wilhite bagged a hat trick, the second of her career, with goals in the 7th, 20th, and 80th minutes. Senior Sierra Rioux put away her 4th of the season in the win. With the win, Dominican clinched the 4th seed in the NACC Tournament playoff, solidifying home-field advantage in the quarterfinals. The Stars will conclude the regular season on Wednesday, October 29th at Concordia Chicago at 2:00 p.m. before hosting Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday, November 2nd for the NACC Tournament quarterfinals. Kickoff time against CUW is still to be determined.

Women's Volleyball was on the road on Thursday to take on Aurora University. The Spartans got the better of the Stars, as DU fell in three sets. Freshman Karolina Stonkus led Dominican with 4 aces, 15 assists, and 9 digs in the match. Following the match at Aurora, the Stars returned home for an afternoon match against Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday. The Stars took the first set 28-26, but were unable to carry that momentum through the rest of the match, ultimately falling in four sets to the Warriors. Senior Ellery Shea and Junior Kathryn Ksiezak both had standout performances, with Shea collecting 11 kills and 4 aces while Ksiezak posted 8 blocks, a new career high.
