River Forest, Ill. – Women's and Men's Basketball battle through final games before the holidays.
Women's Basketball closed out a stretch of three games in four days against Mount Mary on the road on Tuesday. After the first half, the Stars and Blue Angels were tied at 23-23. Dominican turned it on in the third quarter, outscoring Mount Mary 20-9 en route to a 60-48 win. DU was led by Junior Teagan Dahl, who totaled 18 points and 8 rebounds. Junior Lia Saunders collected 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Freshman Kennedy Yost continued her strong start to her collegiate career, notching 6 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. The Stars are off for the holidays and will return to action on Tuesday, December 30
th, as they host Monmouth College in the Igini Sports Forum for their final game of 2025. Tip-off against the Scots is slated for 1:00 p.m.
Men's Basketball fought through a busy portion of their schedule, which started at Wartburg College on Monday. DU was unable to keep pace with the offense of the Knights, dropping the contest by a final score of 87-66. Sophomore Rank Paszkowski posted 23 points on 10-18 shooting alongside 4 assists and 2 steals, while Sophomore Ismael Nidaye Matheu totaled 11 points on 5-7 shooting. Following Wartburg, Dominican traveled to Concordia Wisconsin in a return to NACC action. The Falcons pulled away from the Stars at the end of the first half, and the Stars could not come back in the second, falling by a final score of 81-55. Senior Dominic Crapia and Paszkowski both notched 13 points. Sophomore Braydon Murphy had a record-setting night, entering the top 10 for single-game totals in rebounds (16) and blocks (5). To conclude the week, Dominican hosted Lawrence University for its final non-conference game of the season. A sluggish start for DU proved too much to overcome, as the Stars came up short of the Vikings with a final score of 75-61. Paszkowski added another 22 points on 7-16 shooting, Freshman Elijah Daugherty collected 14 points, and Murphy added his second double-double of the week by dropping 12 points and 13 rebounds. DU will return to action after the holidays on Saturday, January 3
rd at home against Lakeland. Tip-off between the Stars and Muskies will be at 1:00 p.m.

Sophomore Allanah Jackson of Women's Basketball received Star of the Week honors. Jackson posted 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals in DU's 60-48 win over Mount Mary on Tuesday.
Sophomore Frank Paszkowski and Sophomore Braydon Murphy of Men's Basketball were named Co-Stars of the Week. Paszkowski totaled 48 points, 7 rebounds, and was 10-30 from three. Murphy posted 28 points, 34 rebounds, 5 blocks, and a double-double in the loss to Lawrence on Saturday.
