Milwaukee, Wis. – The Dominican University softball program has been named the favorite to win the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) softball season title according to the league's preseason poll released on Thursday.
The Stars finished with 331 points in the polls, which consist of rankings by each of the league's head coaches and head athletics communications professionals. Dominican softball secured 21 of the 26 first-place votes.
During the 2024 season, The Stars owned a record of 39-8 overall record with a conference record of 20-4. The season was highlighted with a 3-2 win against Lakeland University in the NACC Tournament Championship, nodding DU softball their first NCAA DIII Tournament appearance, where the Stars would get a 1-0 win over Penn State Behrend.
Dominican University softball will kick off their 2025 campaign in Florida on March 2nd, where the Stars will play 10 games from the 2
nd to the 9
th.
