Naperville, Ill. – The Dominican University Track & Field team participated in the Chicagoland Indoor Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Jose Murillo competed in the men's 200-meter dash, finishing with a time of 24.87 in the race. This was Murillo's personal record in this race.
-Senior
Oscar Meza-Quintero ran in the 400-meter dash and finished with a time of 59.84 which was a personal record for the Senior.
-Junior
Adrian Ocana participated in the 800-meter dash and finished with a time of 2:09.74. This was Ocana's personal record in this race.
-Sophomore
Diego Valdivia competed in the 1000-meter dash and finished with a time of 2:51.50. This was good for 8
th in the race.
-Dominican raced in the men's 4x400 meter relay, the team consisted of Senior
Oscar Meza-Quintero, Junior
Adrian Ocana, Sophomore
Jose Murillo, and Sophomore
Diego Valdivia. These four individuals finished with a time of 4:00.35 and was a school record.
-Junior
Sarah Matuszek ran in the 60-meter prelims race and finished with a time 8.81.
-Freshman
Emmanuella Otu competed in the 60-meter prelims race and finished with a time of 9.58. This was a personal record for the Freshman.
-Graduate Student
Lauren Mark ran in the 200-meter dash and finished with a time of 30.28.
-Sophomore
Mackenzie Cuddihy participated in the 400-meter dash and finished with a time of 1:13.33.
-Junior
Emma Brosnihan raced in the 800-meter dash and finished with a time of 2:48.92. This time being a personal record for Brosnihan.
-Dominican raced in the women 4x400 meter relay. The team consisted of Sophomore
Fatima Duran, Graduate Student
Lauren Mark, Sophomore
Mackenzie Cuddihy, and Junior
Sarah Matuszek. These four finished with a time of 4:56.88.
-Senior
Avery Brown has continued to dominate for the Stars on the field side of things. Brown participated in the shot put event and finished with a distance of 8.48 meters.
-Freshman
Angelina Eguia competed in the shot put event and finished with a distance of 6.15 meters.
What's Next:
Dominican Track and Field will be right back in action next weekend with their sixth straight meet in as many weekends. The Stars will be at the Margaret Bradley Invite on February 22.
