River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Track & Field teams participated in the Concordia Invite to mark the halfway point of the outdoor season.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Fatima Duran competed in the 1500-meter dash and finished 4
th with a time of 1:07.12 in the race.
-Freshman
Alexandra Jimenez ran in the 400-meter dash and finished with a time of 1:19.19 in the race.
-Graduate Student
Lauren Mark returned to the track for the Stars and finished 4
th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.94.
-Freshman
Mary Bitter participated in the 800-meter dash and completed the race with a time of 1:32.72.
-Graduate Student
Melissa Gomez competed in the 200-meter dash and finished with a time of 30.46.
-Freshman
Jayla Harris has continued to shine in the shot-put event and finished second with a throw of 10.15 meters.
-Sophomore
Diego Valdivia competed in the 1500-meter dash and finished 1
st in the race with a time of 4:17.18.
-Senior
Oscar Meza-Quintero participated in the 400-meter dash and completed the race with a time of 58:43.
-Junior
Adrian Ocana ran in the 800-meter dash and finished the race with a time of 2:14.94.
-Sophomore Jose Angel Murrillo competed in the 200-meter dash and put up a time of 24.29.

Dominican Track and Field will be back in action on April 19
th for the Green & White Invite hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College.
