Elmhurst, Ill. – The Dominican University Track & Field teams participated In the Elmhurst Chicagoland Invite for the second outdoor event.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Jose Angel Murrillo ran in the 100-meter dash and finished with a time of 12.05.

Camron Scott competed in his first race as an Track and Field athlete running in the 100-meter dash and finished with a time of 12.53.
-Graduate Student raced in the 100-meter dash in the women's side and completed the race with a time of 14.49.
-Senior Oscar Meza- Quintero participated in the 200-meter dash and finished with a time of 26.83.
-Freshman Alexandra Jimenz competed in the 200-meter dash and her time was 34.37.
-Junior
Adrian Ocana ran in the 800-meter dash and finished with a time of 2:15.24.
-Freshman
Mary Bitter competed in the 800-meter dash and finished with a time of 3:12.46.
-Sophomore
Fatima Duran participated in the women's 1500- meter dash and finished with a time of 6:00.30.
-Freshman
Jayla Harris competed in the women's shot-put event and put up a PR with a throw of 9.81 meters.
-Senior
Avery Brown competed in women's discus throw and finished 9
th in the competition with a throw of 34.09 meter.
What's Next:
Dominican Track and Field will be back in action on April 11
th and April 12
th for the Concordia Invite hosted by Concordia University of Chicago.
