De Pere, Wis. – Dominican University Track & Field concluded their season at the 2025 NACC Outdoor Championship.

Shining Stars:
-Junior
Mia Taullahu placed 13
th in the Women's 100-meter dash with a time of 13.64 and was 16
th in the 200-meter at 28.18.
-Sophomore
Mackenzie Cuddihy came in 12
th in the Women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.46.
-Sophomore
Fatima Duran mustered times of 2:51.42 in the Women's 800-meter run and 5:46.32 in the 1500-meter.
-Graduate Student
Melissa Gomez, Junior Sarah Matuzek, Taullahu, and Cuddihy registered a time of 4:20.78 in the Women's 4x400-meter relay, placing them 5
th.
-Freshman
Jayla Harris came in 16
th in Women's Shot Put with a throw of 9.64m.
-In the Women's 4x100, the squad of Gomez, Taullahu, Cuddihy, Matuszek, and Freshman
Tia Garr placed 6th with a time of 53.85.
-Senior
Avery Brown notched 11th place in Discus with a best throw of 34.90m.
-Sophomore
Jose Murillo led the way for DU in the Men's 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, recording times of 11.93 and 24.52, respectively.
-Junior
Adrian Ocana competed in the 800-meter dash and finished with a time of 2:14.92.
-Freshman
Juan Tavares ran in the Men's 1500-meter and had a time of 4:52.18.
-Sophomore
Diego Valdivia placed 13
th in the Men's 5000-meter run with a time of 15:59.34. Valdivia became the 2nd DU athlete to break the 16-minute threshold in the 5k and did this off the back of a 10th-place showing in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:51.17.
-In the Men's 10000-meter run, Freshman Jaime Favela came in 7
th with a time of 33:19.48 before finishing 15th in the Men's 5000-meter at 16:08.93.
What's Next:
Dominican Track and Field has completed its inaugural 2025 season and has made tremendous strides in solidifying its status as a program. DUWT&F's highest finish was 3
rd at the Concordia Invite on Friday, April 11
th to Saturday, April 12
th, with DUMT&F's best finish of 5
th also coming at the Concordia Invite.
