Milwaukee, Wis. – The Dominican University Men's Soccer team found themselves in the top five of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) title, according to the preseason poll released Wednesday.
Dominican men's soccer was picked fourth in this season's preseason poll, the Stars received 250 points and a first-place vote. They trailed Edgewood, MSOE, and Aurora. The poll takes into consideration the rankings by the league's head coaches and head athletic communication professionals.
DUMSOC finished with a 7-8-4 overall record while going 7-3-2 in the NACC during the 2025 season. This was the first time under head coach
Erick Baumann the Stars had a losing season in his 31 seasons. The last time the Stars were remotely close to under .500 was in the 1995 season when they finished 11-10-0. Despite the losing season in the overall record category, the Stars still finished as the 5
th seed in the tournament and lost to MSOE on the road in the NACC quarterfinal match.
Dominican University Men's Soccer will start their 2026 campaign with a back-to-back home spot at West Campus Field. The first match is on September 1
st at 4:00 p.m. as the Beavers of Blackburn College come to town.
