Box Score The Dominican University volleyball team picked up its sixth straight victory on Thursday night, topping the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in three sets, 30-28, 25-21, 25-22.
Freshman
Christina Wilson (Homer Glen, Ill.) and senior
Jessica Guerrieri (Plainfield, Ill.), with 19 assists and 14 assists respectively, ran a balanced offense for the Stars. Â
Jacy Lawrence (St. louis, Mo.) knocked down 11 kills and
Claire Dezelski (Northville, Mich.) added ten while
Becca Fritz (Mount Carroll, Ill.) hit .381 for the match with nine kills on 21 attacks with just one hitting error.
Defensively, senior libero
Liz Yakey (Sun Prairie, Wis.) led the Stars with 19 digs.
The Stars have now won 16 consecutive Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) matches going back to 2010 and sits with an overall mark of 8-2 on the season. Dominican will return to action on Friday, traveling to Kenosha, Wis., to play in the Carthage College Women's Volleyball Invitational.Â
