Women's Basketball Wraps up Their Season at St. Norbert

De Pere, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's Basketball team will finish their 2025-2026 season with a road contest at St. Norbert College for their final game of the season.


Series History vs. St. Nobert:  
All-Time Record / Streak: 0-6 / L6
-The Stars and Green Knights first played on 1/22/2022 at St. Norbert. The Green Knights won 88-50.
-Dominican is 0-2 on the road against SNC.
-DU averages 46.67 points per game against St. Norbert.
-The Stars and Green Knights played earlier this year on January 17th, 2026, with SNC winning 57-38. Junior Lia Saunders and Freshman Xi Le O'Neill each scored 9 points in the game.


 
DU in Review:  
- The Stars are 10-14 (4-12 NACC) on the 2025-26 season.  
-DUWBB was 6-2 in their non-conference schedule.  
-Dominican is 4-8 away from the Igini Sports Forum this season.
-Dominican went 5-20 overall in their 2024-2025 season, while going 1-15 inside the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).  
 -DUWBB missed the tournament last season and aims to get back into the NACC tournament for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.  
- The Stars won their opening game for the first time since the 2019-2020 season.  
- Head coach Tethnie Carrillo enters her 2nd full season at Dominican and has a career record of 148-231.  
  
Last Time Out:
  
-Dominican battled with rivals Concordia Chicago, with the Cougars hitting a bucket with 5 seconds remaining in the game to win.
-Junior Lia Saunders paced Dominican with 17 points on 6-14 shooting, along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
-Freshman Kennedy Yost notched 12 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists.
-Sophomore Danielle Washington posted season-highs in points (12), rebounds (3), and minutes (23).  
 -Sophomore Allannah Jackson filled the stat sheet with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and a block
 
Familiar Faces:  
-Dominican returns Junior Aya Deiri, who has been a huge factor on the defensive side for the Stars. In the 2024-2025 season, Deiri played 502 minutes, playing 23 games and collecting 73 rebounds as a guard. Aya also added 26 steals and 3 blocks, solidifying her presence on the defensive end.  
-Junior Lia Saunders is a crucial returning player for this DUWBB squad. Saunders started in all 25 games last season and played in 653 minutes, which led the team. Lia was all over the floor for Dominican, collecting 153 points, 62 assists, 85 rebounds, 36 steals, and shooting 74% from the charity stripe.    
-Junior Kaitlyn Milison is back on the hardwood for Dominican, playing in 25 games last season. Milison stretched the floor as a power forward for Dominican, knocking down 8 threes last season and shooting 38.8% from the floor. Kaitlyn picked up 159 points and 8 blocks.  
-Sophomore Maya Kasuboski is back in her sophomore season after playing in 23 games last season. Kasuboski hit 9 threes in her minutes and is hoping to take the sophomore step for this DU squad. Maya helped on the boards last season, collecting 34 rebounds.  
-Senior Kamila Gajkowska is back for the Dominican University Women's Basketball.  Gajkowska played in 25 games and started in 11 of those games, doing all the dirty work for the Stars. Kamila collected 24 steals and 13 blocks, with 96 total rebounds, with 33 of those being offensive rebounds. The senior shot 78.6% from the charity stripe in her 452 minutes of action.    
   
Shining Stars:  
-Junior Lia Saunders is the leading point scorer for the Stars with 279 points on the season. Saunders has also collected 58 assists in her 669 minutes played.  
-Junior Aya Deiri has continued to be all over the floor for Dominican. She has collected 80 points, 59 rebounds, 31 assists, and 25 steals in 478 minutes. 
-Freshman Kennedy Yost has made a big impact throughout her freshman campaign. Yost is second on the team in points with 224. The freshman has also grabbed 133 rebounds, with 37 of them being offensive. Yost is also shooting 78.2% from the charity stripe. Yost has put up 2 double-doubles.  
-Freshman Allannah Jackson fills up the stat sheet in more ways than one. Jackson has 55 assists, 122 rebounds, 70 steals, and 134 points.  
-Freshman Emily Bouaphanh is a key player for Dominican off the bench, bringing the energy every time she steps on the floor. Bouaphnah has 89 points and 22 steals in the freshman campaign.  
-Junior Teagan Dahl has found her stride in a Stars uniform, being the third leading scorer on the team with 178 points. Dahl is shooting 30.6% from downtown and has hit 15 threes this year. The junior has also recorded 29 steals and 120 rebounds. Dahl has scored in double figures in 10 of the 24 games played.   
-Freshman Eva Herbig has been a flamethrower from deep for the Stars, as she is shooting 26.4% from deep with 27 made threes. The freshman has 102 points on the season.  
-Junior Kaitlyn Milison has been a force for the Stars as of late. Milison has recorded 104 points, 18 steals, 10 blocks, 18 assists, and 79 rebounds.
   
Scouting Report: 
-The Green Knights are 15-7 overall with a 15-2 NACC conference record.
-St. Norbert College is 8-3 on its home court.
-SNC won their last game against MSOE 76-71 on Wednesday night.
-The Green Knights were given their first loss in two weeks on February 14th, with a 61-48 loss to Aurora University.
-St. Norbert is currently in second seed in the conference and has clinched a home playoff game.  SNC can still be the number one seed with a win and a WLC loss.
-The Green Knights are averaging 67.2 points per game with 38.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 43.9% from the floor.
