River Forest, Ill. - Junior Lia Saunders of the Dominican University Women's Basketball team was recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) as All-Conference Second Team for the 2025-2026 basketball season.

Saunders selection for NACC All-Conference Second Team was well deserved as she battled her way through all 25 games while starting in all 25 games. The Junior guard was a workhorse for the Stars, leading the team in minutes and minutes per game with 699 minutes played and 28 minutes per game. Lia was the leading scorer for DU with 294 points and 11.8 points per game. Saunders shot 38% from the floor and 75% from the free throw line while also making 27 threes throughout the season. Not only could Lia score the basketball, but she also collected 67 rebounds, 58 assists, 51 steals, and 6 blocks.
 
Head Coach Tethnie Carrillo commented on Saunders receiving All-Conference Second Team by saying, "Lia has elevated her game in every way this season." Her confidence, versatility as a scorer, daily commitment to improvement, and her leadership led to this well-deserved honor. We are so proud of her."
