Box Score The Dominican University women's basketball team dropped its Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) season opener on Wednesday night, falling to the Rockford College Regents, 63-51.
Stacy Reynolds (La Grange Park, Ill.) scored a career-high 21 points to pace the Stars in the losing effort. Reynolds shot 8-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-8 from three-point distance, in 34 minutes. The Stars' senior guard also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for her second double-double effort of the season.
Trailing by just one at the break, 32-31, the Stars shot just over 20-percent from the field (5-for-24) over the final 20 minutes and connected on just one of nine attempts from behind the three-point arc.
Erin Ryczek came off the bench to pace the Regents, scoring 15 points.
