Box Score For the second time in as many years the Dominican University Stars have captured the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Women's Basketball South Division championship, capturing the 2012 title with a convincing 71-52 win over the Benedictine University Eagles on Wednesday night.

Sarah Budz (Orland Park, Ill.) led the championship charge, posting 15 points, six rebounds, six blocks, five assists and five steals in the winning effort.  The Stars' senior guard was 6-for-7 from the field, including 1-for-1 from three, in 34 minutes of work.

The win improves the Stars to 17-7 on the season and 13-4 in the NAC and has secured the number two-seed in the upcoming NAC Women's Basketball Tournament, behind just the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors, the defending champions.  Dominican will close out regular season action on Saturday, traveling to Milwaukee to take on the Warriors before opening conference tournament play next Wednesday, February 22.
