Box Score The Dominican University women's basketball team cut an 18-point first half deficit down to four points with less than seven minutes to play but then ran out of steam in an 84-67 loss to the MSOE Raiders on Saturday evening.
Kaylee Paciora (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led the Stars with 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting in the losing effort. The junior forward added six rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes.
As a team, the Stars fell behind in the first half, managing to shoot just 8-for-21 from the field in the first half, going 1-for-8 from three-point range. The Stars also committed 12 of their 20 turnovers in the first half, leading to 16 points for the Raiders.
The loss drops the Stars to 0-9 on the season and 0-5 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). Dominican will be back in action on Tuesday, playing host to the Aurora University Spartans for a 7:15 p.m. tipoff in the Igini Sports Forum.
