Box Score River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team took the short trip to Concordia-Chicago on Wednesday. This was the Stars first game of 2023.

Results:
Dominican: 60
Concordia-Chicago: 76

How it Happened:
-The Stars turned the ball over 27 times leading to 30 points off turnovers for the Cougars. 
-DU shot 34% from the field in the first half, while holding CCU to just 26% from the field. 
-Dominican found themselves down 31-23 at halftime. 
-The Stars had a much better second half scoring 19 points in the third quarter, and 18 in the fourth. 
-Dominican made just 5 of 11 free throws, while CCU made 16 of 23.

Shining Stars:
-Junior Kamryn Woods had a season-high scoring night with 17 points.
-Freshman Toni Hayes had season-high rebounding performance with 13 rebounds, as well as a season-high in blocks with 5.
-Freshman Payton Allen did a little bit of everything with a team-leading tally in assists and steals.
