Box Score Appleton, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's Basketball team traveled to Lawrence University for their first road contest of the season, and to open four straight road games.
Results:
Dominican: 44

How it Happened:
-The Stars went down 10-0 to start the first quarter, but exploded back with 7 points in the final four minutes of the first quarter.
-Even though DU struggled from the floor, they only found themselves down 9 at the end of the first quarter and made four free throws in the first.
-Dominican needed to weather the Viking storm as Lawrence once again started on the right foot, but the Stars hung in there thanks to Freshman
Eva Herbig,
Emily Bouaphanh, Sophomore
Allannah Jackson, and Juniors
Aya Deiri and
Kaitlyn Milison, who all got in the scorer sheet in the second quarter.
-DU went into the break facing a double-digit deficit but did not go down without a fight. The Stars remained shooting well from the charity stripe, shooting 70%.
-Dominican came out in the second half as a new team offensively, scoring 27 points in the second half.
-Junior
Teagan Dahl and Herbig tried to keep DU in the game by making multiple shots in the second half. Dahl scored 8 points in the fourth quarter, and Herbig scored 6 points.
-Shooting 37% from the floor in the fourth quarter was their best shooting performance of the evening.
-The Stars had 17 offensive rebounds compared to Lawrence's 7 offensive boards.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman
Eva Herbig found her shot in her second collegiate game, shooting 3-5 from downtown and being the leading points scorer with 9 for the Stars. Herbig also grabbed 6 rebounds.
-Junior
Teagan Dahl has continued to show well in a Dominican uniform, scoring 8 points in her 29 minutes of play.
-Junior
Lia Saunders, coming off a 14-point game, followed it up with 7 points and 3 steals at Lawrence.
-Junior
Aya Deiri was all over the stat sheet with 5 points, 6 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
-Sophomore
Allannah Jackson was the team leader in rebounds with 7 boards, and 5 of those were offensive rebounds.

Dominican University Women's Basketball moves to 1-1 on the 2025-2026 season. The Stars will continue their four-game road trip on Saturday, November 15
th at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill. Tip-off between the Stars and the Beavers is set for 1:00 p.m.
