River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Women's Soccer team hosts the Rockford Regents on Wednesday in their 2^nd home game of the week.

Series History vs. Rockford:
All-Time Record /Streak/: 19-2/W18
-The first time these two schools played was on October 10^th, 2001, at Rockford University, the Stars won 3-2 in the match.
-Dominican has only allowed 11 goals in all 21 matches against the Rockford.
-DU scored 156 goals and averaged 7.43 goals a match against RU.
-The Stars are 9-1 at West Campus Field.
-Last season Dominican won 7-0 at Rockford and earned 20 shots in the match.
-DU's biggest win against Rockford was on 10/7/2006 when they won 16-0.

DU in Review: 
-Dominican women's soccer is 3-2-2 on the season so far. The Stars are also 1-1 inside the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
-Last season the Stars went 12-6-1 overall on the season while holding a 9-3 conference record. 
-DU did not play a neutral site match last season but did go 6-4 on the road. 
-Dominican's season came to an end in the NACC conference tournament semifinals when they matched up with Illinois Tech. 
-The Stars held a 6-match win streak last season from the dates of September 20th to October 11th. 

Familiar Faces: 
-Graduate Student Sierra Rioux is back in a Stars uniform and is ready to be a veteran impact on this young DU squad. Rioux comes back after an incredible senior season. The Naperville native scored 4 goals and earned 6 assists in her 19 games started last season. She also recorded 42 shots, with 19 of those on target. 
-Senior Meghan Wilhite will be back on the pitch this season after a 7-goal junior season that included a hat-trick at Wisconsin Lutheran. Wilhite also collected 2 assists and 36 shots, with 16 of those on target. The Las Vegas native played in 18 matches, while starting in 6. 
-Senior Mackenzie Cuddihy has been a staple on the back line of the Stars and will continue that role in her senior campaign. Cuddihy last year found the back of the net twice, including a bar-down shot from 40 yards out on homecoming last season. Mackenize played in 1420 minutes last season. 
-Junior Ariana Barney is ready to continue her success in a Stars uniform this upcoming season. Barney battled through some injuries in her sophomore year but still played in 15 matches with 2 assists and 5 shots on goal. 
-Junior Tia Garr has been a force in the midfield in her first two years and is looking to continue that success in year three. Garr is coming off a season where she played 19 matches and started 18 of those. Garr scored 2 goals on 26 shots, with 15 shots being on target. 
-Sophomore MK Kluesner had a great freshman year and is ready to continue to grow on the back line for Dominican. Kluesner started in 18 matches last season with 1541 minutes while earning an assist. 
-Junior Gianna Stanek will be back in net this upcoming season after her first season with DU. Stanek played in 15 matches and started in 14 of those matches. Stanek recorded 66 saves on the year and held a 9-6 record between the posts. Gianna had four matches last season where she made over 6 saves, including a 9-save match against Illinois Wesleyan that led DU to a 1-0 victory on the road. 
 
Last Time Out: 
-Dominican fell to #18 ranked North Central in a close game. The Stars were tied with the Cardinals, going into the last few minutes of the game but were unable to keep it there, with the final score being 2-1.
-Freshman Payton Lemich had the lone goal for the stars.
-Freshman Kaylie Reeve led her team with 3 shots, 2 of those being on target.
-Junior Tia Garr had 2 shots and 1 on target in the match.
-Senior Rachelle Pinto fired one shot.
-Junior Presley Coles earned her second assist of the season.
-Freshman Sarah Appleby collected 5 saves.  

Shining Stars:
-Senior Meghan Wilhite currently leads her team in goals with 3, continuing her impact as a Senior on this young team. Wilhite has 1 assist with 17 shots, while 8 of those being on target.
-Senior Mackenzie Cuddihy has been a rock for her team, recording 599 minutes, which leads her team. Cuddihy has notched a goal while firing 7 shots.
-Graduate Student Sierra Rioux is showing her experience having 10 shots with 8 of those on target. Rioux also collected an assist.
-Freshman Kaylie Reeve is making quite an impact right off the gate, the freshman has 2 goals on 9 shots with 6 shots on target. Reeve has recorded 545 minutes, which is the second most on the team.
-Junior Tia Garr picked up where she left off last season, Garr scored 1 goal on 9 shots.
-Junior Presley Coles is on a comeback after being injured last season, collecting 2 assists.
-Junior Gianna Stanek has started 5 matches in the net, allowing only 2 goals, and has made 13 saves.
-Freshman Sarah Appleby has come up big for her team with 13 saves and 3 goals allowed.

 
Scouting Report: 
-Rockford is 0-5 on the 2026 season.
-The Regents are 0-1 in the conference, with that loss being to Concordia Chicago.
-RU has lost to the University of Olivet, Beloit, Maranatha Baptist, Concordia Chicago, and Alma College.
-The Regents has only scored 1 goal this season while giving up 30 goals. They have 31 shots, with 17 of those shots being on target.
