Carlos Carrillo, arguably the most decorated player in Dominican men’s soccer history, landed on the 1999 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American third team while garnering honorable mention honors for the All-American squads in 2000 and 2001.
The program’s all-time and single-season leader in goals (110/37), assists (68/26) and points (288/81), Carrillo collected four conference Player of the Year honors and four first team all-conference selections while also being named the 1998 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year.
Carillo also holds the program record for points in a game for his six goal, two assist effort against Concordia University of Chicago in 2001.
During his tenure as a player, the Stars’ posted an .833 winning percentage with a 77-15-1 overall record while winning five conference regular season championships and six conference tournament championships.
After spending time as an assistant men's soccer coach at Dominican, he returned to River Forest as the head women's soccer coach for the 2014 season and has led the program to their first two NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017 & 2018.
