Erick Baumann, the current Director of Athletics at Dominican University, has been associated with the Stars men’s soccer program for over 25 years as both a player (1989-1993) and a coach (1995-present).

In his 25 seasons as head coach, the Rosary College alums' .780 winning percentage ranks 
6th amongst NCAA Division III men’s soccer coaches all-time. Additionally, Baumann’s 406 career coaching victories ranks him 21st in NCAA Division III men’s soccer history.

With Baumann at the helm, the Stars have won 11 of 14 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) tournament and regular season titles including 18 national tournament appearances. From 2002 to 2014, the Stars made 13 consecutive national tournament appearances, including a NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Final Four appearance in 2009, Elite Eight finishes in 2003 and 2006 and a Sweet 16 in 2012.

During his tenure, Baumann has coached 16 All-Americans, over 50 All-Region selections and more than 20 Offensive or Defensive Player of the Years while being honored himself as the conference Coach of the Year over a dozen times, including three regional Coach of the Year distinctions.
