Ed Stritzel competed for the University as a Rosary College Rebel, amassing 1,638 points in two and a half seasons after transferring from Loyola University.Â
Stritzel overcame a broken leg suffered after his freshman campaign at Loyola to become a prolific scorer and passer for the Rebels. His 45 points scored in a game against neighborhood rival Concordia University back on December 14, 1991, ranks as one of the top single-game performances in the program history.Â
To this day, Stritzel ranks in the top five in the Rosary College/Dominican University men’s basketball program in points, assists (405, 2nd), free throws made (396, 3rd), free throw percentage (83.9, 4th) and three-point field goal percentage (39.4, 4th).
Additionally, his 183 assists during the 1991-92 season still stands as the all-time single-season high record.
